gridfinity part 3

Today i finished designing and printing the caliper holder which i will shortly be posting on my printables account. For now here is the final result: I found i had to remove some material because i dont have magnets on my grid and the friction of the fit was making it impossible to get it out without lifting the print from the grid. I am quite pleased with this design, i think i reached my goal of not wasting too much filament and time, i lost how long it actually took but the slicer shows 2:30 hour print for both the parts.

In other news i also finished the lighter holder an the vase bins (only the 1u) I have to say i’m pleased with the clipper holder, the tolerances are great, it holds the lighter snugly without having to hold the print down while getting one out. For the vase mode i have to say that it’s very thin of course and the base is not nicely coupled to the walls on the chamfers that interact with the grid below, i think you need some solid layers to avoid printing the interface faces in vase mode.

Today has not been very productive as i mostly worked on the blog framework this will get published to.
